It doesn’t cease to attract attention the particularity of this expression that we name tango. Especially in its dance we find something very attractive; it’s the encounter of the sexes that proclaims consideration in the middle of an
androgynous social tendency that tends to destroy the link between the man and the woman.
Western society has reached an extreme limit with regard to sexuality (and in many other aspects too), its vulgarization is imminent and reaching a gloomy ending. The medias, among them TV and others, broadcast coarse, neglected, erroneous and excessive content that disorder the natural and binding development. The coming generations are the ones that absorb all this as their everyday and common... But it’s not necessarily the material that crosses the screens that ends up shaping human relations, but it’s the type of relationship that founds the technology too, oddly. It’s, according to S. Bauman, the “liquid love”, the ephemeral relationships formed by means of a connection-disconnection on the internet, cell phones, etc…which shapes the souls of the coming generations stamping a state of incontinence, of weakness and fragility.
On the other hand tango reemerges because it’s exactly what society is lacking, it’s the cry of the soul that stamps significance, contributing an answer, an order. It comes to mark limits, borders upon which to pass, upon which to dace, upon which to walk life. It marks a rhythm of systole and diastole, to the beat of the heart, to the beat of the lungs that sends us to the original rhythm,
ontogenetic and universal.
Nietzsche said that he wouldn’t believe in any god that wasn’t a dancing god. He mentions also music as original of the universe. Of which we can conclude that dancing to the rhythm of the music connects us with creation, not only of the human being but of the universe too.
So the original manifestation of psychic energy, when it becomes a cultural manifestation, it’s associated to rhythm; it’s not a movement that moves randomly, but a rhythmic movement. Jung says that it’s the principle of the spiritual form of instinct. Obtaining psychic energy to manifest rhythmically is the first form in which it is spiritually or culturally manifested

Tango demands a certificate of origin and this cannot be overlooked. In fact, the coming generations are each day more attracted to it. Many are deeply surprised seeing young people dance when it’s them that don’t realize that tango was always young. But some other times older people recognize themselves in those youngsters, binding a magical bridge that identifies and joins three generations.
The
psychic_homeostasis proclaimed by C. G. Jung, shows us once more its compensatory face, this time by means of the embrace.
