The words that we use are a lot more than a way of communication: as a whole, they reflect a way of perceiving the world, of categorizing reality, of understanding it, that is, of living it. And they are only born when the speaker doesn´t have better ones to express what he wants to say. The lunfardismos(words in lunfardo) that us the argentinians use don´t escape to this law, and constitute a powerful flow that enriches our language and contributes unarguably to build our identity.
