When two strangers dance in common-union, it can happen, for several reasons, small imbalances, momentary desynchronizations...and that´s when that "mistake" happens. That stumbling or unwanted treading. Sometimes it´s not even noticed by the couple but at times it interferes momentarily with the dance. How do you feel in those instants in relation to things like the sense of making a fool of yourself, guilt, etc...? Do you say anything to your couple? Why?

I hear you,

The reaction I might have to such a situation depends entirely on who is my partner and what is my relationship with her. If she is beginner, I say it's my fault. If she's a friend, we might just end up laughing about it. I passed the stage I could feel kind off guilty or embarassed long ago. Mistakes are just part of the dance. Unless you are a total beginner and your dance is just an endless mistake, it can happen to anybody and the best dancers know and understand it.
