Dear members, collaborators and visitors.

I have made the decision of ceasing completely the activity in SentirTango.

SentirTango was conceived from the start with the hope of creating a space to think, to reflect on, to share and to discuss Tango, in a context of diversity, tolerance, and individual freedom.

Its nature was always not for profit, therefore the expense of energy, time and Money that was involved in creating it, and that is involved in maintaining it, would only make sense to me if I would have achieved an active participation of the community (you), or f I would have felt that I was really generating something in agreement with my expectations and objectives.

As far as I am concerned, I never ceased insisting in the necessity of that “round trip”, and I tried to encourage you to participate in several different ways. I also opened up a space so that all of us could discuss, in public, any issue, even those with the goal of improving the site. I was always open to new ideas and to hear constructive critics. However, except in few occasions, I have not felt accompanied in these tasks.

At the same time, fortunately, I have been able to count with the valuable and unselfish collaboration of people whose research work I found of great interest, endorsed either by an outstanding trajectory in a given area of Tango, or carrying out a brave at the same time tan valuable line of work.

Also, some of you chose to share with the rest, your ideas, opinions and valuable texts, and for that I am extremely thankful with all of you.

Sentirtango will remain open during a short period of time that I haven’t determined yet, with some of its functions disabled. You will be able to read (or reread) any of the content that was ever published, as well as the discussions and conversations that were generated in the forum. During this period, if somebody wants to contact me, he will be able to do so, with the same freedom as always. Those members that want to contact other members before the website closes definitively, they will be able to do that also.

As far as I am concerned, I will look forward in the future, for new ways of channeling my energy through Tango. I hope in all sincerity, that some of all this effort has served for something good, even if it’s something very little.
