Título: What attracts you of Tango? Publicado por: NiCo en Enero 24, 2007, 23:01:29 Hi everybody,
I see a lot of people from all over the world are joining us so i am going to take the opportunity to open a very simple topic. Its richness will be in the different opinions from such a varied audience. I would like to get people to briefly try to explain with words(i know... it might be difficult :)) what attracts you from Tango and what do you do with that attraction... what does your body/senses demand you and what do you do to satisfy those internal demands? I am very interested and anxious to hear you :) NiCo Título: Re: What attracts you of Tango? Publicado por: Tolemach en Enero 26, 2007, 01:11:39 Very good question... I think that their is little music styles so profound that it can touch your very real soul. And of those styles i know only tango that can be dance.
Also it permits two bodies to mix into one single soul and that with being strangers! Very good question...excuse me for bad english :-[ Título: Re: What attracts you of Tango? Immerse myself in the music and sometimes, only sometimes, for a slice opportunity, I felt like "enlighted," because of the concentration in between "existence (yao)" and "non-existance (wu)."

It stirs my soul and almost always lifts my spirits.

I had never thought how tango could be perceived in relation to some aspects of oriental philosophy... gypsygirl: could you share a bit more of that? I am very interested :) Justin. Título: Re: What attracts you of Tango? Publicado por: gypsygirl en Marzo 08, 2007, 10:12:14 hi,
someone said it is the feeling of infinity, for me, from the oriental background, I now rather to approach tango from my own root. For example, I will learn Tai-chi in order to enjoy more of tango. for me, tango can be meditative. I am that kind of person who get into the trap of thinking too much (all the bad things about Chinese bring-ups). Tango gives me the opportunity only to exist following some kind of order (men's lead, well...). You forget others, only to dance and SURRENDER. I hope the answer helps! |
