I remember when i first went to BA. From having practiced just another dance(i also danced salsa and swing at that time) it changed to having a new way to interpret life through very profound codes and values (some of them anachronistic I must admit). It is without doubt A LOT more than just a dance, and it admits multiple interpretations and ways of experiencing it. You MUST go to Buenos Aires to fully understand this, and as francesito said, do it with respect for their culture. Tango has been mistreated often, and nowadays it is also a big business in Argentina made-up for us, tourists.
